Maximising the visitor experience (31/10/2007)

When visiting a venue, a conference delegate doesn't want to be confronted by a security guard with an indifferent attitude or be given poor directions resulting in frustration and a bad first impression. Similarly, during the event delegates don't want to be thinking how cold the room is, or how dirty the washroom was. Does a broken hand dryer or littered entrance completely ruin that delegate's experience? Probably not, but it won't add to the venue's brand and will certainly unnerve the conference organiser, sponsor or box holder who may consider a different venue for their next event / sponsorship / hospitality opportunity.

For any visitor, their experience can often begin the very moment they encounter the environs of the venue. From that point on, the venue should be doing all that they can to influence a positive experience and every element of the customer journey should be considered. With a little thought, and working with a dependable service partner who is delivering services from the perspective of the customer, a venue can enjoy repeat business, loyal customers and a reputation that generates new business.

With years of experience delivering support services in the sport and leisure market, Leisure Support Services is leading the way in delivering services in a way that maximises the visitor experience. Our Project Five Star programme is all about recreating the five-star hotel environment at sport and leisure venues, where high standards go hand in hand with customer interaction and visitor experience.

Please contact us for a free tour of one of the venues that we service and see Project Five Star in practice. Some of the venues you may wish to visit include Ricoh Arena where we deliver housekeeping services and Edgbaston where we deliver a facilities services package.
