The Wimbledon Championships are considered the most prestigious of the four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments and the only one still to be played on grass courts. Held at the famous SW19 home of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) the venue is prepared meticulously each year for the famous tennis event. Before the Championships a Qualifying Tournament is also held at the Bank of England Sports Ground, where our teams manage many aspects of the event including court attending and event administration tasks.
Leisure Support Services is proud to be the provider of housekeeping and court attendance services to AELTC and the Wimbledon Championships. As a premier international sporting event, there is an expectation of the highest standards possible being achieved throughout all facilities, both during the Qualifying and Championship periods. Furthermore our court attendants must be alert and ready to minimise any delays to play caused by bad weather.
Our aim is to maximise the world famous Wimbledon experience. Our staff are expected to work to the highest attention to detail as they not only represent Leisure Support Services but also the AELTC. Leisure Support Services employs over 500 temporary staff to service the event and there will be opportunities to work at pre, during and post periods of both the Qualifiying Tournament and the Wimbledon Championships from May through to August.
